I went on  an appointment this morning to discuss the options with a home owner facing foreclosure.  This lady was in tears.  After loosing her job from a medical condition she has resolved to sellingmost of her furniture to keep up her mortgage payments current.  She now receives her disability but her mortgage payment is 93% of her month income.  The Sheriff has served her papers based on the mortgage companies request to foreclosure on the home.  She has two options, 1.) pay the mortgage company the requested payments to become current on the mortgage.  This will stop the foreclosure and allow her to keep the home.  She will have to find a way to keep current on her mortgage payments.  This will need to be done in the next 40 days. 2.) Place the home for sale with an experienced Realtor who can get an offer on the property, stop the foreclosure and negotiate a short sale on the sellers behalf.

There are literally thousands of people in Southern Louisiana faced with this similar hardship.  There are options besides foreclosure.  If you know of anyone faced with a hardship, please call or email me with their name and number.  Everything in our lives is temporary unless we allow it to be permanent.  I can help!
