"Festival of the Lake" this Weekend in Mandeville
Our Lady of the Lake’s annual “Festival of the Lake” is this weekend in Old Mandeville. The festival will be held Friday, Oct. 14 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The festival is free, and held on the grounds of Our Lady of the Lake Church.
Many items will be available to purchase including food, drinks, jewelry, clothing, art and more. Games will also be available for all ages.
There will be an extensive music line-up at the event. Christian Serpas and Ghost Town will play Friday from 5:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Four Unplugged will then take the stage from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Sharon Schech will kick off the music on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Austin Sicard and the Medics will play from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by headliner Cowboy Mouth from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
A red 2012 Ford Mustang convertible will also be up for grabs in the Red Hot Raffle. Other prizes available in the raffle include a sailboat, jet ski, cruise and vacation. Tickets for the raffle cost $40 each. Three tickets may be purchased for $100, or eight for $200. Tickets may be purchased at www.ollraffle.org.
Our Lady of the Lake is located at 312 Lafitte St. in Old Mandeville. Proceeds from the festival will benefit the annual Knights of Columbus Christmas for Kids program, and the Our Lady of the lake Capital Campaign. For more information on the festival, visit www.ollparish.info/festival.aspx.
